Happy Birthday, John Irving

I’ve always loved the grand scope of novelist John Irving’s (born March 2, 1942) work, so I was thrilled to get to speak with him about his 13th novel ‘In One Person’ about the life of a bi-sexual man who mentors a transgender girl, how small towns - to some degree - accept outsiders, and how he starts his novels at the end and works backward.
