Brian Copeland - Not A Genuine Black Man.

Comedian, talk show host, actor, and podcaster Brian Copeland talks about his one-man show Not A Genuine Black Man about growing up in an almost exclusively white Bay Area suburb and his nervous breakdown from the trauma he experienced because of blatant racism. He performs 30 different characters. The New York Times wrote he knows how to spin a dramatic yarn, especially the terrifying stories of his family being harassed. It’s used as a text in college classes. His new play, “Grandma & Me: An Ode to Single Parents,” will be opening at The Marsh in San Francisco in the fall of 2022.
