Bill McKibben Deep Economy

Author, educator, and environmentalist Bill McKibben explored the disconnect between prosperity and satisfaction in his 2007 book ‘Deep Economy’. He argues that if the world adopts Western nations’ prosperity in their diet and transportation systems and consumption habits, it spells disaster for the world. McKibben connects the public radio funding model to a new economic model for the world. He talks about his experiment in eating local in Northern Vermont.
