In April 2005 on KUOW’s The Conversation, we got listeners to call and hold phones up so we could hear their favorite sounds. Sound artist Chris DeLaurenti talked about the art of capturing sound in the world, played a few examples, and talked about why recording is a fantasy. KUOW’s Sven Garber, Jeannie Yandel, Ruby DeLuna, Patricia Murphy, Jenny Asarnow, and Terry Fitzpatrick added sounds they gathered.
