Robbie Robertson
Musician and storyteller Robbie Robertson tells the story of his career with the Hawks and The Band. Robertson recounts their work with Bob Dylan on the contentious 1966 electric tour where they booed around the world; how The Band with Levon Helm, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson and Rick Danko gelled in Woodstock New York (‘It was feeling like The Bowery Boys go the country’). Bob Santelli is the interviewer, Bob Rini the music director, and Jeannie Yandel helped with post-production. Ross Reynolds wrote and produced the program for the Experience Music Project in Seattle, now known as the MoPop, the Museum of Popular Culture.
