Happy Birthday Rinker Buck!

The Oregon Trail is Rinker Buck’s (born December 29, 1950) epic account of his 2011 trip on the Oregon Trail in a covered wagon with a team of mules. By telling the tale of the trail, two thousand miles and six states from Missouri to the Pacific coast, Buck tells the story of white settlement, the largest land migration in history. He also draws out the government subsidy that paved the way for the Oregon Trail. More recently Rinker Buck chronicled his latest adventure in his book ‘Life on the Mississippi’ an account of sailing down the river on a flat boat.
