Newjack: Guarding Sing Sing

Investigative journalist Ted Conover, who’s been called the "master of experience-based narrative nonfiction", became a prison guard at Sing Sing Prison for 11 months to write NewJack, the slang term for a new corrections officer. In this interview, he talks about what daily life is like for men and women who guard people classified as the most dangerous criminals.
