In 2010 Edmund Morris (1940 - 2019) published the third volume of a biography of President Theodore Roosevelt, ‘Colonel Roosevelt, recounting the former president’s disappearance from public life. Roosevelt went on an Africa tour and became the most famous person on the earth, yet when he ran for the Republic nomination for his third run for president he lost.
